Italian company Bialetti first started putting the Moka Express into Italian homes in 1933. Since then, over 100's of millions have been made. Have a star in your house with this coffee maker that has even made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
It's not really espresso, but moka coffee. In Italy, nearly everyone has one.
There are different sizes, but this is the most famous model that will create a 2 ounce espresso in four or five minutes. It has been said that the smaller the moka machine, the better the coffee.
To use, add water to the lower chamber and put a finely ground coffee in the filter. Heat the Moka Express, but on a lowish heat for best results. The moka makes it way into the upper chamber. This could take about 10 minutes if you do it slowly. You don't want to boil the coffee, so take it off heat as soon as all the water moves up (or slightly before if you want to time it like a pro and let the remaining heat finish the process off).
Italian made using aluminium.
